Instructions & Guideline for Poster Submission:

Relevance to Event Theme:

All posters must align with and cover the event's general theme. It is essential that your submission directly addresses or is relevant to the broader topic of harnessing coconut potential in the context of carbon emission offset and sustainable future.

Poster Format, Design and Layout:

  • We provide a PPT file that serves as the official format for the poster submission. All participants are expected to follow this format to maintain consistency. Format can be downloaded here.
  • The poster should be visually appealing and clearly display the research's background, methods, results, and discussion.
  • Use a readable font size and limit the amount of text to ensure clarity and conciseness.
  • Incorporate relevant visuals, such as images, charts, or graphs, to illustrate key points ensuring that original authors or photographers in an in-text citation or in your reference list.
  • Ensure your file is named as: [First Name_Last Name_PosterTitle].
  • Attach a brief abstract (max 250 words) explaining the poster's main focus and its relevance to the event theme.
  • Include your details in the abstract file: Full Name, Country, Organization/Company/Institution and Title/Designation. 
  • Submit your abstract and poster in PDF format.
  • All posters, abstracts, and presentations must be in English.
  • Printing of poster is not required, as they will be displayed on-screen.

 

Poster Presentation/Talk:

  • Upon request, participants must be equipped to provide a concise 3-minute synopsis of their poster's key content. It is imperative to allocate time judiciously to ensure the salient aspects of the research are conveyed within this brief period.
  • Presentation Date: Selected posters will be presented on 2nd Day of the event, 13 October 2023.
  • If you are registered and attending in-person, selected poster will directly present at the event venue. If you are attending virtually, presentations will be conducted in Zoom mode.
  • The presentation should provide an understanding of the background and significance of your research. Ensure your presentation remains grounded in your research, follows a clear and logical sequence, avoiding generalizations or trivializations.

 

Submission Deadline:

  • Submit your poster and accompanying abstract via icc@coconutcommunity.org The submission deadline is set for 10 October 2023, Should your poster be selected, you will receive a notification via email by 11 October 2023.
  • As a Call for Poster participant, your registration for the event is mandatory. If you intend to present your poster and attend in-person, please register promptly as physical attendee spaces are limited.
